A Custom Washing System for Industrial Totes
Industrial totes used in the automotive industry and auto repair shops can hold a variety of fluids. These include oil, transmission fluid, and brake fluid. Cleaning the inside of these containers requires a washing system designed specifically to accommodate their size and openings.
AEC Systems designed this custom industrial tote cleaning system for precisely this type of application. We built this system to clean the interiors of totes with top openings ranging from 5 to 18 inches in diameter.
Cleaning Through the Tote Opening
One of the defining features of this industrial tote washer is its center pipe. It descends through the opening at the top of the tote during the cleaning cycle. Once inside the container, the pipe sprays the interior of the tote. The system also uses hot air to blow out the inside of the container as part of the cleaning cycle.
This arrangement allows the washer to direct its cleaning process into the tote through the existing top opening, accommodating the range of opening diameters specified for the application.
Industrial Tote Washing Designed for the Application
This project illustrates how AEC Systems approaches custom industrial washing equipment. Rather than selecting a washer based solely on the type of container, the design accounts for the specific characteristics of the totes being cleaned and the cleaning process required.
For this application, the solution was a cabinet washer equipped with a descending center pipe for interior spraying and heated-air blow-off.
